twisting into a tumble\ncardinal in thorn\nin angry ravine\nwhy so silent?\nyou are not invisible.\n\nmaybe you wish to be:\nthe dark forest,\nholding you,\nup lifting you \ntowards the barren sky.\ndon't you have a home?\nwhere do you lay your head?\n\nmaybe you fly,\non and on.\npast the stream to the blanket\nof moss that grounds you.\nin search for seeds,\nin search for roots,\nwill you ever settle?\n\nmaybe you are done calling,\nwith no one to listen on this \nquiet evening in the shortest month.\nthe longest distance,\nfrom whom you love.\nbut i will listen now.\n\nmaybe this staring contest,\nis but looking in the mirror?\ninto the mass of limbs,\ndo you smell the rain?\nsir it is all but here.\n\nmaybe you are mourning.\nthe carnage of day light,\nand your wings soaring,\nbut only temporarily.\nand your eyes flitter.\nand I wonder if you are weeping.\nare you keeping track of my tears?\ndo you hear me?\nyou call my name.\nand you fly away.\n\n\n\n\n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
