Exciting times

I have never posted anything like a blog before. I am excited to learn the program and explore the tools! c:

What I find intimidating is my lack of knowledge about the program.

I would like to learn more about the editing tools. Are they like Microsoft, or different?

First thoughts

I think being able to keep a virtual journal will help us all to keep better track of our time abroad.
One thing I think that will be daunting is trying to make sure that we set the website up well-considering others will see this web page.
How often will we be expected to update the website?

I am excited to see everyone’s pictures from the trip displayed as one page for the class. It will be interesting to read about different interpretations of the sites and everyone’s experiences abroad.

Daunting

A lot of work will need to be put into this website and blog continuously during our trip. As a class, we will all have to decide on the color scheme, font, etc. We will need to make time to post while abroad.

I do not have any questions at the moment.

I am excited to see the final result of the travel website.
I am slightly worried about this project because I am not very good with technology.
One question that I have is will there be a color scheme and font that we all will follow for our individual posts or will we each get to decide our own? Because I feel like it may not look as organized if we each have our own.

I am most excited that this website project will give me a rough idea on how to create web pages and blog posts.

It would feel daunting if I couldn’t get to figure out how to work the website or it becomes overwhelmingly tedious.

Collaborations

What I’m most excited about with this website project is that it’s a fairly long-term collaboration. In other words, I’m excited to see how our individual contributions will accumulate over time.

However, what feels daunting is the possibility that our site might seem messy to others, because there are so many minds working on it. I am curious to know how we can prevent this while making our website stand out to be a unique gallery of transnational memories.

Travel blogs

I find blogging to be very frightening and have never understood the narrative appeal. So let’s see what happens. I find traveling to be scary, so adding plane rides and foreign lands to confusing technological outlets and templates is going to be a challenge. I am under the impression that I will be so overwhelmed with flying in a plane and trying not to get lost in Japan every time I step out the door that I will slowly not worry about the maze that is WordPress and its navigation systems.

I am most excited to create this blog so that once I return, I will be able to show it to my parents and family so that they may follow along our day to day trip. Woot woot; here we go!
