Home

Welcome to our Digital Bestiary.  This website was created as part of Guilford College’s Fall 2018 Religious Studies course – REL 288: Defense Against the Dark Arts, team-taught by Tierney Steelberg & Eric Mortensen. Please follow the links in the menu above or the icons below to experience the collaborative student projects. The students in the course worked together to create the content of this website in a single semester. As a requirement of the course, each of the projects is explicitly comparative in nature, and each also includes mention of how to defend oneself against the creature(s) in question, although you will learn that not all that is wondrous is dangerous. You may also explore the links to the course syllabus, and to a bibliography of other bestiaries. We hope you enjoy and learn from these student projects.
